Missions

At Worldia, we’re elevating our technology strategy by integrating AI as a core pillar of our platform. As the AI Tech Lead, you’ll lead a newly formed team reporting directly to the VP of Engineering. The team will comprise yourself as the Tech Lead and two engineers who are just beginning their journeys in AI, offering you the opportunity to guide and mentor them as you collaboratively build AI-powered solutions. Your role will be pivotal in transforming promising AI concepts into internal tools and customer-facing innovations that redefine travel experiences.

This role is essential for internalising AI-powered proof-of-concept projects previously developed by external resources, while leading new initiatives.

In this position, you will:

- Take on a hands-on technical lead role, building, optimising, and deploying AI systems

- Collaborate closely with users and stakeholders to understand needs, scope projects, and refine tools and proof-of-concepts

- Mentor and up-skill team members on AI tools and trends, fostering a learning environment

- Coordinate and guide external development resources to ensure quality and timely delivery

Lets talk about you

Qualifications:

Experience: 5+ years in software development, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in AI end-to-end development, deployment and run. Prior experience leading or mentoring other developers would be a plus.

Technical Skills:

             - Programming: Proficient in python and managing environments with Conda

             - Machine Learning Frameworks: Hands-on experience with Torch for deep learning applications

           - AI Specialization: Familiar with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and prompt engineering

           - Data Management: Strong data-handling and database management skills           

Soft Skills: 

           - Leadership Abilities: Prior experience leading small teams or mentoring team members, with a collaborative and inclusive approach

           - Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-starter with a proactive approach to exploring and applying new AI technologies to bring value to the team

           - Adaptable Learner: Self-motivated to expand your skillset and AI knowledge in a fast-evolving field
