Missions

Join us as a Lead Backend Developer to participate in development of our new travel platform and be at the heart of the tech strategy with the product teams!

As a Lead Backend Developer, you will be part of a team of 15 highly skilled backend developers. The responsibility of a Lead Backend Developer is to play the role of architect, project manager, software engineer, mentor, and teammate all at once.

You will work closely in cross-functional teams to shape our travel platform. You will participate in defining architectural vision, handle the technical backlog in your agile team, optimize developers’ experience and play a key role as a mentor for the team!

As a Lead Backend Developer at Worldia, you will:

  • Responsible for helping drive the high-level architectural discussions regarding the work that the team is doing

  • Build the technical roadmap by creating epics for technical features, facilitating break down of technical features into stories and tasks

  • Lead technical meetings

  • Organize and implement new features with team

  • Optimize the development process and help the team become more productive by triggering technical documentation culture, ensuring green pipeline and ensuring CI pipeline efficiency

  • Provide technical training with the Engineering Manager to create any training plan for team members when gaps (skills or knowledge) are identified in order to align objectives, performance reviews and training paths

  • Mentor, pair, and delegate work to foster the professional and technical growth of your teammates

  • Ensure that technical best practices and guidelines are implemented, followed and documented

  • Participate in the recruitment process and also be in charge of the technical onboarding path when a newcomer is joining the team
