Senior Build & Release Engineer - Agent Platform

Job descriptionThe Datadog Agent is a software that runs on customer hosts and supports a wide range of platforms. It collects observability data from hosts and sends them to Datadog, where our customer can analyze their monitoring and performance data. As a Senior Systems Engineer you will enable the entire Agent Organization of 100+ engineers to develop and release high quality Datadog Agent releases by improving our CI platform, tooling, processes and coding throughout. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.What You’ll Do: Support the growth of the Agent codebase and engineering teams by ensuring the test, build and release infrastructure remains reliable and stableProvide multiplatform tooling and improve code workflows to enhance the productivity of Agent engineersKeep the Datadog Agent installation experience simple and intuitive on a wide range of platforms, in particular Linux and macOSWho You Are: A seasoned engineer with 5+ years of software development experienceExperienced with build pipelines, CI systems, release tooling and Linux/macOS packagingFamiliar with at least one configuration management tool (Ansible, Chef, Puppet…)Keen on improving developer workflowsStrong in at least one programming language and comfortable with scripting languages (python, bash)Someone that enjoys working with other teams across the companyDatadog values people from all walks of life.
