Regate is a one-stop-shop Finance Automation SaaS. It allows SMEs’ finance teams and certified accountants automatise all their daily tasks on a centralised, collaborative and integrated platform.

Regate’s main purpose is to help finance and accounting professionals gain time, simplify their daily work, avoid using multiple siloed software, collaborate better and make fully informed decisions. It is a cockpit, that centralises and automatises all manual, time-consuming tasks as well as information in real time. On the platform, users can edit, send, and pay invoices, get paid, view all bank accounts in one place, manage and forecast their cashflows, approve spendings, monitor budgets and much more. 🚀 ✨

The founders

After 7 years at KPMG in Audit and Financial Counsel Departments, Laura became Mailjet’s CFO from 2014 to 2019. Alexis Renard is a serial entrepreneur, notably of B-Process (the european leader of electronic invoicing) and Mailjet, before its acquisition by an American fund.

Working together, Alexis and Laura understood how hard it was to collaborate, share documents and get valuable counsel from their certified accountant. This is the gap that they identified and decided to tackle by creating Regate. 3 years later, with a team of +150 people and 27M€ raised from international VC funds, our ambition is now to disrupt finance management in Europe. 🧭 🇪🇺

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Help define reliability targets (SLO/SLAs) for the components of the Regate product
• Run and help developers run our infrastructure with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker and all tools already listed
• Build our observability stack and help all engineers use it properly
• Craft and improve operational processes
  
  Debug production issues with other engineers
• Continuously improve developer’s experience with faster and better tooling, lightweight processes
  
  Be an evangelist on security best practices, around code and infrastructure
• Produce state of the art infrastructure as code
  Think about systems: edge cases, failure modes, behaviors, specific implementations

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior

• More than 5 years working with cloud providers like GCP or AWS, provisioning infrastructure as code with tools like Terraform 

• Already worked on web services or web applications with high scale constraints and/or 24/7 service levels   
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes, at least as a power user of a managed Kubernetes solution  
• Daily user of containerisation systems   
• Fluent in multiple development languages, can work in a Ruby on Rails environment   
• At ease with relational databases and SQL  

Education

• Can easily explain system design and infrastructure to engineers that are not experts of this matter
• Able to vulgarize technical problems to non technical people
• Can lead cross team technical projects and engage developers to follow industry standards and best practices

• CD tools like ArgoCD
• Cloud platforms like GCP
