THE ROLE

We are looking for an engineering manager to help us bring value to our customers with the best quality, at the lowest cost, as fast as possible. You will report to our CTO, Bastien Duret.

As a people manager, you will foster the growth of each of your reports. You will be responsible for their training, either doing it yourself or connecting them to the right persons and resources. You will guide them through their career, providing them opportunities to develop their skills and leverage their strengths.

As a leader of a team of full-stack software engineers, you will define clear goals and help your team achieve them by enabling each member to give their best. You will be an enabler for effective team work, inside the team and with other teams: your partnership with the product team will be key to your success. You will define and facilitate team rituals, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

As a technical manager, you won't implement features on your own but you will leverage your technical expertise in a lot of your activities: challenging technical decisions, reading code, mentoring junior engineers, coaching senior engineers...

How is this opportunity different?

- you will be hands-off and lead a team of 7(±2) engineers working remotely

- you will work hand-in-hand with a product team that cares more about business impact than the number of features delivered

- you will shape the evolution of engineering from one team to multiple teams

Salary range: 80k€ - 100k€, depending on experience.

  • You can communicate clearly in written and oral form in French and English, with technical and non-technical counterparts
  • You have built a web product as a software engineer, as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment. You have faced the challenges of maintaining quality while expanding scope and of maintaining fast flow with a growing codebase. Expertise in domain-driven design is a plus.
  • You have experience managing a team of senior software engineers working remotely, in a fast-paced environment. Expertise in lean management is a plus.
  • You are product-minded and system-oriented: you care about what you build, and how you build it
