  • Hours: : 35-40 hrs; Some flexibility to start later/finish later or earlier. Must work US hours.
  • Compensation: $70k OTE, commission (uncapped)

 Who We Are

Uplisting builds software that powers hospitality businesses, in particular vacation and short-term rentals. We’re a top 8 Airbnb software partner and will process over $400m in bookings this year.

We help property managers with between 5 and 500 properties manage, automate and scale their business. We have clients globally, however, they are predominantly based in the US. We are and always have been remote. We are a profitable business made up of 20 people who punch above our weight. We’re looking for someone special to join our team as we’re growing fast and need to expand our team in order to keep up with and optimize on our success.

The Role Logistics

We need a resourceful and motivated Business Development Representative to join our small, but mighty sales team. This role will manage our sales process (with smaller accounts) from end to end, handle lots of outreach and qualifying of incoming leads (both via email and phone), and collaborate with our Account Managers on various daily business needs. This role will have a lot of autonomy and impact in our company, so we’re looking for a self-starter with sales experience in digital companies who loves talking to potential customers. Our objective is to find the right person, and create the ideal role for them/us so that we’re all doing what we love to do in support of our company goals.

This will be a full-time, independent subcontractor (1099) position; W2 employment will not be considered.

This is a 100% remote position with flexible hours, but you must work during US working hours.

Responsibilities and Areas of Need

Below is a list of areas where we have gaps and need your help, in priority order.

  • Business Development & Sales
    • Outbound phone calls to qualify leads then hand over to our Account Managers for demo calls
    • Email outreach to both cold and warm leads
    • Manage the sales process with smaller accounts from end to end
    • Minor investigative work to find contacts and be proactive in researching new leads
    • Manage and lead product demonstrations for smaller accounts
    • Seek out new sales opportunities and vet incoming leads
    • Send solicitation emails for new business opportunities
    • Collaborate with Account Managers on incoming business and opportunities
  • Customer Service and Client communication
    • Able to speak succinctly to customers to discern needs/feedback
    • Able to complete data collection
    • Able to engage and strike up conversation with a diverse range of personalities
    • Good written and verbal communication
  • Manage Goals/KPIs
    • Able to meet or exceed sales goals
    • Keep track of numbers/targets

  • You are quick to pick up new tech and tools. We work in a variety of online tools and you will need to be able to use these with some basic training, including: Slack, Google Docs, Shortcut, Zoom/Google Meet, Artline and more.
  • You have a reliable computer and internet connection and can use video conferencing services such as Zoom.
