About Diagnostics at Owkin:

Our ambition is to potentiate precision diagnosis in oncology with artificial intelligence applied to digital pathology. Pathology slide images, taken from biopsied or resected tissues, are a yet-untapped, ultra-high dimensional data modality that offer a huge potential for deep learning application to better understand disease, optimize patient care & improve treatment decisions.

We have for instance developed two products based on AI and digital pathology to tackle major challenges in precision oncology:

The first one is about evaluating the risk of relapse in early breast cancer for a better adaptation of the therapeutic strategy. The second one is about decreasing the burden of MSI screening for patients with Colorectal cancer. If detected, the MSI phenotype leads to a very specific care pathway with a treatment based on immunotherapy improving the chance of survival for the patient.

We are now looking for a Junior Product Owner to support the work of our product team by contributing to the conception and the development of innovative software products for digital pathology.

About the role

You will work on the conception and development of the AI platform enabling the usage of precision medicine solutions in digital pathology. In particular, you will work on:

Discovery/Analytics

  • Conduct research and analysis on market trends, competition, customer behaviors in all its forms (from casual interview to formal studies), collecting and analyzing feedback to derive valuable insights

  • Turn data insights and user feedbacks into features with actionable outcomes to the customers

Strategy and Tactics

  • Build and improve the product vision and transpose it into a roadmap

  • Contribute to the design of new features to maximize the customer value, prioritize the product backlog items and plan the release

Delivery

  • Works in Agile environment and translates roadmap features into well-defined requirements including user stories, and acceptance test criteria

  • Contribute to regulatory artifacts documentation

  • Provide product support to all internal stakeholders to ensure product success and growth

Position is based in Paris, Nantes or remotely in France.

About you

Required qualifications / experience:

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a product management/owner role, preferably in software medical device development

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a scientific field (e.g. software engineering)

  • In-depth knowledge of agile process and principles

  • Understanding of machine learning principles is a plus

  • Knowledge in the field of software as medical device (SaMD), in particular standards ISO 13485, IEC 62304, IVDR, FDA regulations is a plus

  • Highly engaged and adaptable – self motivated and driven with the ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong team spirit

  • Highly organized and proactive

  • Fluency in English and French
